Stopping smoking sessions

Taken from the New Scientist, a study into the different treatments available to stop smoking, showed hypnosis to be very successful compared to other therapies available...
“David Pollock, director of ASH, said he was surprised by the success of hypnosis, which anecdotal evidence had suggested was not very effective. One organisation not surprised by the results is the British Society of Medical & Dental Hypnosis. Christopher Pattinson, the society’s academic chairman, said that current hypnosis techniques are a far cry from their popular image of music-hall tricks involving swinging fob watches. The latest relaxation techniques achieve success rates of up to 60% from a single session, he said.
Richard Doll, the epidemiologist who carried out the pioneering studies of the risk of smoking, said that the apparent success of hypnosis and the high quitting rate of patients with heart disease backed his own observations.” From issue 1845 of New Scientist Magazine, 31st Oct.1992.
We all know and understand not only the dangers to our health that smoking has but also to our family and our pocket.
A smoker smoking 20 cigarettes per day will spend on average £2,600 on cigarettes PER YEAR.
Using hypnosis to become a non smoker is an effective form of therapy.
These sessions normally last for approximately 1½ hours and are charged at £150 (one off fee).
Should any additional "back-up" sessions be needed these will be free of charge (max. of 3 sessions). One session is usually sufficient for client's to stop smoking but sometimes we ask that we see you again to ensure all is still well.
Please note, as we’ve said before on this website, hypnotherapy can produce extremely successful and beneficial results. However, it is not a “Magic wand”. Clients must have the want and motivation to stop smoking and work with the therapist so that this goal can be achieved.
